Grambling edges past Alcorn

GRAMBLING, La. (AP) -- Anthony Williams scored 23 points and grabbed nine rebounds as Grambling State edged past Alcorn State with a 61-58 Southwestern Athletic Conference win on Monday night.

Williams was the only player to score in double figures for Grambling (5-6, 3-1 SWAC), which shot just over 42 percent from the floor.

Juan Wyatt's 20 points paced the Braves (2-13, 1-3), who made 55.6 percent of their field goal attempts for the game. Cornell Landry added 12 points in the loss.

Grambling led at the half 30-26.
